Native New Yorker living in China for 10 years, functional Mandarin speaking ability, elementary Chinese reading and writing level, Boston University graduate, education, media and trading experience in China, learned basic woodwind repair work at Cornet Music in Smithtown, New York (family-owned business), attended 2005 NAMM Show, attended 2006 China Music Show in Shanghai, member of Los Banditos Band in Guangzhou (performing Cuban, Caribbean and Jazz music), play alto and sop saxes, flute, clarinet and piano.

Blowin' in the Wind


A box of Vandoren look-alike China-made reeds sells in China for about 2.50USD per box. While reed cane is naturally grown in China, most end-products mold and warp easily and play as flaccid as a wet towel.
